Ury Louviere

Loreauville – Funeral services were conducted for Ury Louviere, 84, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2017, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Barry Crochet officiating. Burial followed in All Saints Mausoleum.
A rosary was prayed in the funeral home on Friday.
A native and resident of Loreauville, Mr. Louviere passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2017, at 9 a.m. at his residence.
He was the owner of Ury’s Manufacturing, Inc. He was a loving Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather. He loved cutting grass and was known for his chicken fried whole. He enjoyed the casino and spending time with his family and friends, especially for the Crawfish Festival at Patsy and Ray’s. He was a member of Lake Dauterive Hunting Club, serving as President and sponsor for Little League Baseball for many years. In the 70’s he sponsored an Adult Baseball Team (Ury’s Welding).
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Elaine Cormier Louviere of Loreauville; he is survived by his children, Renette Gaudet and her husband Todd, David Louviere and his wife Anita, Dane Louviere, Danny and his wife Trudy Louviere and Dwayne Louviere; a special niece Patsy “Bozo” Thibodeaux; his brother, Jerry Louviere; thirteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Louviere and Josephine Melancon Louviere; his brothers, Collins, Lloyd, Clarence, Claude, Fernest, Moise and Junius Louviere; his sisters, Joyce Albert and Yolande Viator and one great grandson, Omi Luke Viator.
Pallbearers were Jonathan Louviere, Dusty Louviere, Nicholas Louviere, Chad Viator, Cy Gaudet and Ricko Albert.
Honorary pallbearers were T-Mark Thibodeaux, Skipper Thibodeaux Troy Thibodeaux, Ray Robin, Don “Coyote” Cormier, Derek Louviere, Brock Louviere, Drew Louviere, Austin Gaudet and Dr. Jon Fontenot.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to NSI Hospice and very special thanks to Hazel Louviere, Bonnie Hebert, Blake Snoddy, RT and Ray Robin.
