Trisha Lynn Melancon

St. Martinville – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 11, 2016, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church for Trisha Lynn Melancon, 35, who passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2016.
Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home from 3 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Thursday and continued on Friday at 7 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
A rosary was prayed at 7 p.m. on Thursday.
Rev. Rusty P. Richard officiated at the Funeral Mass. Gift Bearers were Lori O’Neal and Michael Melancon.
Interment followed at St. Michael Mausoleum in St. Martinville.
Trisha enjoyed her life to the fullest. She loved to cook and make people laugh. Trisha was always the life of the party and cherished her time spent with her family and friends. Her son, Trey, was the center of her universe.
She is survived by her son, Trey Michael Broussard of St. Martinville; parents, Gene and Jennifer Melancon Miguez of St. Martinville; maternal grandparents, Dan and Theresa Melancon of St. Martinville; paternal grandparents, Lucy Thibodeaux of St. Martinville; brothers, Ryan Miguez of Parks and Zack Thibodeaux of St. Martinville; and sisters, Mandi Miguez of St. Martinville, Kelli Miguez of Baton Rouge and Jessie Thibodeaux of St. Martinville; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many close friends that loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Roland and Eve Miguez; uncle, David Thibodeaux; and grandfather, Chickley Thibodeaux Sr.
Pallbearers were Kerry Broussard, Stephen Washburn, Chad Washburn, Blake Melancon, Chris Melancon, Josh Melancon and Jose Alexander.
Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville was in charge of arrangements.
