Timothy ‘Blue’ Aldus Huval

Cecilia - A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, July 25, 2015, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Timothy “Blue” Aldus Huval, 49, who passed away on Monday, July 20, 2015.
A rosary was recited on Friday.
Father Andre Metrejean officiated at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures were read by John Mueller and Adam Champagne. Gift Bearers were Tina Huval Calais, Lisa Huval Coats, and Dale Huval. Interment followed at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia.
Tim was born in Opelousas as the second youngest of six children.  He grew up primarily in the Lake Charles area, graduating from DeQuincy High School.  Highly competitive, he played sports all through his youth and continued that passion as an adult – his favorite teams included the Boston Red Sox, Liverpool FC, and the Green Bay Packers.
A longtime resident of Phoenix, Arizona, Tim’s hobbies included genealogy, music, writing and even work! As a LEED accredited member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Tim was passionate about his career – especially when he got to combine his job with his love of sports by working on projects such as the MLB and NFL arenas in the Phoenix area.
He raised two daughters and made countless friends over his 20 year span in Phoenix before moving on to take a job in Newport Beach, California where he enjoyed life at a more relaxed pace with great new friendships, lots of travel, and plenty of sunshine.
After retiring, “Blue” lived out his final months in his home state on the bayou in Butte La Rose surrounded by music, food, family, and love.
He is survived by two daughters, Stevie Laiken Huval and fiancé, Benjamin Gomez, of Austin, TX, and Taylor M’Leigh Huval of Los Angeles, CA; his mother, Yvonne Calais Huval of Cecilia; two sisters, Lisa Huval Coats and husband, Morris, of Thibodaux, and Tina Huval Calais and husband, Ronnie, of Breaux Bridge; and three brothers, Jude Huval and wife, Becky, of Mandeville, Gregg Huval and wife, Susan, of Austin, TX, and Ben Huval and his longtime companion, Shaleen Biggs Pellerin, of Breaux Bridge; eleven nieces and nephews including his godson Ian Coats of Thibodaux.
He is preceded in death by his father, Paul Aldus Huval; maternal grandparents, Percy and Felicianne “Snook” Guidry Calais; his paternal grandparents, Aldus and Helen Guidry Huval; and his nephew, Grant “Boss” Calais.
Pallbearers were Jude Huval, Gregg Huval, Ben Huval, Morris Coats, Ronnie Calais, Adrian Huval, and Benjamin Gomez.
Honorary pallbearers were Ian Coats and “The Balas” with special acknowledgements to Dale Huval for his generous spirit.
Special thanks also to Debra Cormier and Jackie Cormier for their compassionate care in his final days.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia was in charge of arrangements.
