Breaux Bridge – A Funeral Service was held at 1 p.m. on Monday, March 21, 2016, at Pellerin Funeral Home for Thelma Usie, 90, who passed away on Friday, March 18, 2016, at her residence.
Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home from 8:30 a.m. until funeral services at 1 p.m. A rosary was prayed at 12:30 p.m. on Monday.
Deacon Butch Hebert will officiated at the Funeral Service. Interment followed at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 1 in Breaux Bridge.
Thelma enjoyed having outings with her caretaker and best friend, Eva Domingue. She dedicated her life to her children, whom she loved dearly. The family would like to thank Compassus Hospice and Dr. Warren Degatur and staff for their love and care.
She is survived by her sons, Keith Usie and wife Charlene, and Kenneth Usie; her daughter, Jeanie Usie; three grandchildren, Lacie Babin and husband Joshua, Jamie Usie and wife Catina, and Daniel Usie and wife Brittani; three great-grandchildren; and her best friend, Eva Domingue.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Usie; her son, Dennis Usie; and her parents, Ulinore and Martha Guidry.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge was in charge of arrangements.
