Henderson – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 18, 2016, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church for Shannon Paul Olivier, 33, who passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2016, in Eunice, La.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home in Henderson from 1 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Tuesday and continue on Wednesday at 7 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
A rosary will be prayed at 3 and 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
Rev Garrett McIntyre will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial.
Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in Henderson.
Shannon enjoyed playing basketball, football, video games, fishing, going to the beach and cooking. He loved his family so dearly and will be remembered for having a heart of gold and a smile that would light up a room with compassionate love.
He is survived by his loving mother, Virginia Olivier of Carencro; brother, C.J. Olivier and fiancée Shelly Richard of Lafayette; and niece, Cameron Olivier of Lafayette.
He was preceded in death by father, Carroll James Olivier; maternal grandmother, Armance Z. Olivier; maternal grandfather, Ovide Willingham; paternal grandmother, Anna Mae C. Olivier; and paternal grandfather, Clarence “Blue” Olivier.
Pallbearers will be C.J. Olivier, Toby Landry, Carl Patin, Chase Goulas, James “Skwilly” Domengeaux, Michael Allen Horn and Derrick Johnson.
