She really enjoyed cooking, shopping, spending time with family, playing games on her iPad, playing video games especially Mario Bros. on Nintendo and she always had a heart of gold by opening-up her home to everyone regardless of their circumstances. She loved driving her school bus and her kids definitely knew she was a force to be reckoned with, in her words, “Serina don’t play.” She was a true lover of animals from dogs, birds, rabbits, fish and whatever else she could bring into her home, but you couldn’t put her within 10 feet of a snake. She’s truly loved and will be missed by family, friends, T-Boy (her dog), but most of all her children.
She is survived by her husband, Harold Joseph Pickney Sr.; daughters, Monika Dunnelle Porter and spouse Darlene of St. Martinville, and Charlie Sharron Kately and spouse Selby of St. Martinville; son, Dexter Keith Porter of St. Martinville; sisters, Patricia Cormier of Cade, Veronica Cormier of Pensacola, Fla., Marjorie Cormier of Pensacola, Fla., Katina C.
