Sandra Boyd Johnson

Cecilia – A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 30, 2015, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church for Sandra Boyd Johnson, 49, who passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2015, at Lafayette General Medical Center.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 7 a.m. until 10 a.m. on Wednesday, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Cecilia. A rosary will be prayed at 8 a.m. on Wednesday.
Rev. Michael Delcambre will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Cecilia.
Sandra was fun-loving and never met a stranger. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and she loved to dance.
She is survived by her daughter, LaShanda Boyd-Joseph and husband Brian; son, Lawrence Johnson Jr.; sisters, Ida Noel and husband John, and Pamela Derouselle-Cumbo and husband Eddie; brothers, Christopher Derousselle and wife Carlette, and John Derousselle; grandchildren, Jaylee Joseph and Mar’ly Savoy; and godchildren, Kendrick Thompson and Madison Johnson.
She was preceded in death by parents, Malcolm and Marie LeBlanc Boyd.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Derousselle, John Derousselle, Kendrick Jeffery, Kendrick Thompson, Reginald Guidry and Brian Joseph.
Honorary pallbearers will be Patrick Boyd, Jim Boyd, Nathan Boyd Sr., Audrey Fredrick, Lawrence Johnson Jr. and Wilbert Joseph Sr.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia is in charge of arrangements.
