Sandra ‘San’ Borel
Breaux Bridge – A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, November 28, 2016, at St. Joseph Catholic Church for Sandra “San” Borel, 67, who passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2016.
Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Saturday, 8 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Sunday, and continued on Monday from 7 a.m. until 9:30 a.m.
A rosary was prayed at 7 p.m. on Sunday.
Rev. Ed Degeyter officiated at the Mass of Christian Burial.
Readers were Tiffany Breaux and Ricky Latiolais.
Gift bearers were Elmire Franks and Dickie Borel.
Interment followed at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery in Catahoula.
Sandra “San” was born in St. Martinville to the late Mayo Sr. and Laura Theriot Albert. She had a great love for her family. San never met a stranger and was always willing to take care of everyone. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with family and friends. San will be remembered for her loving heart, her generous ways, and her friendly personality. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her loving spouse of 48 years, Ronald Borel; her daughters, Sonya Richard and fiancé Dwayne Thibodeaux, Sandy Frederick and husband Lance, Shawn Guidry and husband Marty, Sharon Perry and husband Lane, and Savannah LeBlanc and husband Brooks; honorary daughter, Elmire Franks; grandchildren, Sosha Richard, Sierra Richard, Skylar Richard, Lauren Frederick, Dylan Frederick, Kyle Frederick, Jordan Guidry, Shelbi Guidry, Landon Guidry, Sydni Borel, Trey Perry, Ryan Perry, Sarae LeBlanc, Samantha LeBlanc, and Branson LeBlanc; great-grandchildren, Chase “CJ” Brasseaux, Serenity Brasseaux and Hayden Guidry; brothers, Dennis Albert and wife Cecile, Ramsey Albert and wife Mary, Roy Albert and wife Elsie, and Donnel Albert; sisters, Louella Latiolais and husband Perry, Betty Borel and husband Clovis Jr., Gail Blanchard and husband Larry, Cheryl Boudreaux and husband Sherman, Mary Richardson and husband Michael, and Laura Albert; numerous nieces and nephews; and her Yorkie, Miley.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Ryan Borel; sisters, Patricia “Pat” Albert, Priscilla Ann Hulin and Loretta Albert; and brother, Mayo Albert Jr.
Pallbearers were Dwayne Thibodeaux, Lance Frederick, Marty Guidry, Lane Perry, Brooks LeBlanc and Dennis Albert.
Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge was in charge of arrangements.
