Salvadore ‘Sal’ Lorentino

Funeral services were held Monday, February 16, 2015 at a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville for Salvadore “Sal” Lorentino, age 86, who passed away Friday, February 13, 2015 at J. Michael Morrow Memorial Nursing Home in Arnaudville.
Interment will be in St. Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. The Rev. Keenan Brown, pastor of St. Francis Regis Catholic Church, officiated at the services.
Mr. Lorentino was a native and resident of New Orleans for most of his life, having lived in Arnaudville since 1993. He retired with the City of New Orleans after fourteen years of service. Mr. Lorentino was a parishioner of St. Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville and was a member of the American Legion - St. Martinville Post. He was a veteran of the military having served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict
Survivors include one daughter, Catherina “Cay” Lorentino Landry and her husband, Larry, of Arnaudville; three grandchildren, Cayla Landry, Logan Landry and Katie Landry; four step grandchildren, Larry Landry, Jr., Ryan Landry, Valerie Landry and Brittany Landry; one brother, Francesco “Frank” Lorentino of Metairie; one brother-in-law, Herman “Babe” Robin of Arnaudville; and one sister-in-law, Anne Robin David of Arnaudville.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Robin Lorentino; his parents, Michele Lorentino and the former, Caterina Favaloro; two brothers-in-law, Albert Robin, Jr. and Irving “Bin” Robin; and one sister-in-law, Mavis Robin.
A rosary was recited Sunday in the funeral home.
Pallbearers were James Robin, Marcus Robin, Jude Robin, Philip LaComb, Lance McAlister and Larry Landry, Jr.
