Ronnie Roberts

A memorial service will be held at a later date for Ronnie Roberts, 72, who passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2016, at Our Lady of Lourdes in Lafayette.
Ronnie was a native of Breaux Bridge. He served in the United States Army from 1962-1965. Upon his return, he married the love of his life, Genevieve Champagne.
Ronnie was a sugarcane farmer for many years. He served on the Sugarcane Advisory Committee, the Louisiana Sugarcane Cooperative Board, Farm Services, and Farm Bureau.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Genevieve Champagne Roberts; two sons, Brett Roberts and wife Stephanie, and Kent Roberts and wife Alicia; two granddaughters, Naomi Roberts and Jenna Roberts; his faithful companion, Spike; and extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Roberts and Amy Angelle Roberts.
