Reneé Simoneaux

St. Martinville – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 7, 2015, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church for Reneé Simoneaux, 47, who passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2015, at her residence.
Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home from 2 p.m. on Wednesday and continued until 10:30 a.m. on Thursday. A rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. on Wednesday.
Rev. Rusty Richard officiated at the Funeral Mass. Readers were Mattie Frederick and Loren Breaux. Gift Bearers were Alexandra and Gabrielle Latiolais.
Interment followed at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville.
Reneé worked for St. Martin Bank for the past 15 years. She loved to shop and lived for her husband, children and grandchildren. Reneé will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Troy Simoneaux Sr.; two sons, Troy Simoneaux Jr. and wife Addy, and Joshua Verret; her daughter, Holly Verret; her father, Oswald Broussard; her brother, Larry Broussard and wife Dawn; five sisters, Regina Maraist and husband Charles, Hazel Standridge, Melinda Bernard and husband Jay, Shari Babin and husband Darren, and Lori Solarie and husband Ronald; six grandchildren, Alexandra Latiolais, Gabrielle Latiolais, Kennedi Nugier, Isabella Nugier, Anneliese Verret and Quinn Simoneaux; and her special friend, Darnell Champagne.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Louise F. Broussard.
Pallbearers were Charlie Maraist, Joshua Verret, Troy “TG” Simoneaux Jr., Larry Broussard, Clay Maraist, Sandy “TJ” Bernard Jr. and Ronald Solarie.
Honorary pallbearers will be Steven Standridge, Conner Simoneaux, Charlie Bernis, Tres’ Bernis, Derek Talley and Bryson Solarie.
Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville was in charge of arrangements.
