Patricia ‘Pat’ Jane Albert

St. Martinville – A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, October 28, 2015, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church for Patricia “Pat” Jane Albert, 58, who passed away on Friday, October 23, 2015, in New Orleans, LA.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Tuesday and continue on Wednesday at 7 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville. A rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
Rev. Rusty Richard will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Jill Lesley and Gail Blanchard. Gift Bearers will be Betty Borel and Mary Richardson. Eucharistic Minister will be Jennifer Blanchard.
Entombment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville.
Pat spent most of her life caring for the handicapped and those in need. She enjoyed camping, playing Pokeno, keeping up with social media, following her son, Brody, to all of his sporting events, and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandsons, Blaze and Ryan, who she loved with all of her heart. In her many years of caring for the handicapped, she fell in love with a beautiful soul by the name of Sis, whom she cared for many years and loved unconditionally.
She is survived by her son, Brody Albert of St. Martinville; two grandchildren, Blaze Michael Albert and Ryan Joseph Albert, both of St. Martinville; her brothers, Dennis Albert and wife Cecile of Parks, Ramsey Albert and wife Mary of Catahoula, Roy Albert and wife Elsie of Parks, and Donnel Albert of Parks; sisters, Louella Latiolais and husband Perry of Parks, Betty Borel and husband Clovis Jr. of Parks, Sandra Borel and husband Ronald of Parks, Gail Blanchard and husband Larry of Coteau Holmes, Cheryl Boudreaux and husband Sherman of Parks, Mary Richardson and husband Michael of Avery Island, and Laura Albert of Parks; and her many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by parents, Mayo Albert Sr. and Laura Theriot Albert; her sisters, Loretta Albert and Priscilla Ann Hulin; and her brother, Mayo Albert Jr.
Pallbearers will be Brody Albert, Roy Albert, Donnel Albert, Dickie Borel, Brock Latiolais, and Travis Hulin.
Honorary pallbearers will be Blaze Michael Albert, Ryan Joseph Albert, and Bartley Latiolais.
Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville (337­394­9121) is in charge of arrangements.
