Myrtle C. Alexander

St. Martinville – A Funeral Service was held on Saturday, Aug. 6 at Mallalieu United Methodist Church for Myrtle C. Alexander, 78, who passed away on Monday, Aug. 1, 2016.
Interment followed at Mallalieu United Methodist Cemetery.
She is survived by her daughters, Mrs. Edward (Sheriba) Menard and Resteray Alexander of St. Martinville, Mrs. Clifton (Sybil) Jordan of Port Allen, and Valerie Louis of New Iberia; son, Christopher Alexander of St. Martinville; step-son, Danny Kately of Lafayette; brothers, Royal Chambers of Delcambre, Lawrence Chambers Jr. of Sacramento, Cal., and Bernise Chambers of Sacramento, Cal.; sisters, Mary Fezzia and Loucinda Bonner of New Iberia, and Mrs. Clyde (Consuella) Williams of Missouri City, Texas; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Dennis Alexander; second husband, Avery Charles; brothers, Ernest and Earl Chambers; and sister, Geraldine Chambers.
Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville was in charge of arrangements.
