Mary Lillian C. Cormier

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 4, 2015, at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Mary Lillian Caillier Cormier, 78, who passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2015, at St. Martin Hospital.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Tuesday and continue on Wednesday at 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. A rosary will be prayed by Deacon Marcel “Butch” Hebert at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
Rev. Brian Webre, Associate Pastor of St. Bernard Catholic Church, will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read Missy Courville. Gift Bearers will be Farrel “Sonny” Barré and his wife, Sandra.
Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
She is survived by her husband, Ames Cormier Jr.; her son, Carlton Cormier and wife Jill; her sisters, Anne Fowler and husband Richard, and Suzanne Morris and husband V.J.; three grandchildren, Carlie Cormier, Jamie Cannon and husband Jeremy, and Justin McCollum; a great-granddaughter, Harper Grace Cannon; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Faustin “Mim” and Edith Hebert Caillier; and her brother, Alton Caillier.
Mary was a President of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary in Breaux Bridge and enjoyed camping, quilting and sewing.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her memory be made to the V.F.W., Post Office Box 37, Breaux Bridge, LA 70517.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge, 211 Berard St., is in charge of arrangements.
