Breaux Bridge – Funeral Services were held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, August 13, 2015, at Pellerin Funeral Home for Margaret Blanchard Huval, 81, who passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2015, at Lafayette General Medical Center.
Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until 2:45 p.m. on Thursday. A rosary was prayed at 1 p.m. on Thursday.
Deacon Marcel “Butch” Hebert officiated at the Funeral Service. Interment followed at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
Mrs. Margaret babysat for over 40 years. She cherished moments spent with family and friends.
She is survived by her son, Allen J. Huval of Breaux Bridge; her husband, Harry F. Huval of Breaux Bridge; her brothers, Ronald Blanchard and his wife Verna of St. Martinville, Hodges Blanchard and his wife Sheen of Butte La Rose, and Bernard Blanchard and his wife Agnes of Catahoula; and her step grandchildren, Robert Owens, Elizabeth Owens, Michael Owens and Jessica Owens.
She is preceded in death by her father, Authuir Blanchard; her mother, Ann Girouard Blanchard Thevenet; and her daughter, Kathryn Huval.
Pallbearers were family members.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge was in charge of arrangements.
