Lou A. Rodriguez

Catahoula – A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 8, 2017, at St. Rita Catholic Church for Lou A. Rodriguez, 78, who passed away on Friday, May 5, 2017.
Visiting hours were observed at Dion Hall, 4452 Catahoula Hwy. (Hwy. 96), Catahoula, from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Sunday and continued on Monday at 7 a.m. until 9:45 a.m.
A rosary was prayed at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday.
Rev. Richard Fabre officiated at the Funeral Mass. Reading the scriptures for service was Hannah, Falon and Taylor. Serving as gift bearers were Tori, Kamryn, and Emma.
Interment followed at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery in Catahoula.
Lou Anna Rodriguez was born in St. Martinville to the late Lucien and Amelia Latiolais Rodriguez. She worked as a secretary for Cleco for 35 years and was a faithful member of St. Rita Catholic Church. Lou enjoyed shopping and eating out with family and friends. Although she did not have children of her own, she adored her nephews, great nieces and great nephew like they were her own. She will be remembered for her kind heart and her love for shopping. Lou will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her sister, Rita Frederick and husband Lenny; nephews, Corey Frederick and spouse Dawn, Mark Frederick and Ryan Frederick; great nieces, Hannah, Falon, Taylor, Tori, Kamryn and Emma Frederick; and great nephew, Rylan Frederick.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Pallbearers were Corey Frederick, Mark Frederick, Ryan Frederick, Rylan Frederick, Lenny Frederick, Toby Rodriguez and Randall “Ricky” Rodriguez.
Honorary pallbearer was Lionel Rodriguez Jr.
The family would like to give special thanks to Hilda, Loretta, Cassandra and Carlene for the love and support given to Lou at her time in need.
