Lloyd Alexander Sr.

March 26, 1949 –August 28, 2015

Breaux Bridge – Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 4, 2015, 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis of Assissi Catholic Church for Lloyd Alexander, 66.
Interment will be in St. Francis of Assissi Catholic Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 4, 2015, from 7 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Kinchen Funeral Home Inc. of Lafayette.
Lloyd Alexander Sr. was born on March 26, 1949, into the loving family of Casey and Alberta Alexander. He was the third oldest of 10 children. He united in Holy Matrimony to Ida Mitchell.
Mr. Alexander is survived by his father, Cassie Alexander; his wife, Ida Alexander; seven children, Paula Compton, Travis Alexander, Michelle Alexander, Oscar Alexander, Lloyd Alexander Jr., Ratonya Alexander and Quincy Alexander. He also leaves to cherish his memories four brothers, Howard Alexander, Joseph Alexander, Richard Alexander and Patrick Alexander; three sisters, Helen Clement, Judy Alexander-Lawal (Lambeau) and Paula Alexander; 20 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Mr. Alexander was preceded in death by his mother, Albert Alexander; two brothers, Cassie Alexander Jr. and Robert Alexander; one brother-in-law, Joseph Clement; two nephews, Kirby Alexander and Cedric Clement; and one grandchild, Jerrick Soloman.
Arrangements are entrusted to Kinchen Funeral Home, 1011 N. St. Antoine St. Lafayette.
