Lillian Arnaud Louviere

Catahoula – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated for Mrs. Ludon Louviere, the former Lillian Arnaud, 91, at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, January 11, 2017, at St. Rita Catholic Church. Fr. Richard Fabre officiated. Interment followed at St. Michael Mausoleum in St. Martinville.
A gathering of family and friends was held at Dion Hall in Catahoula from 8 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday. A rosary was prayed at 12 noon on Wednesday.
A native and resident of Catahoula, Lillian passed away at 3:27 p.m. on Sunday, January 8, 2017, at Landmark of Acadiana Nursing Home.
Born on June 24, 1925, to the late Robert Arnaud and the late Bertha Robin Arnaud, Lillian was one of nine children.  She was a member of St. Rita Catholic Church throughout her entire life. Lillian greatly enjoyed sewing, quilting, flowers, cooking, reading, spending time with family and friends, and the sunshine of Catahoula country living. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she will be truly and deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her four children, Robert “Bob” Louviere and wife Juanita of Lafayette, Rogers Louviere and wife Kathy of Parks, Gill Louviere and wife Adeline of Catahoula, and Susan Louviere of Sunset; 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Ludon Louviere; parents, Robert and Bertha Robin Arnaud; brothers, Ovan, Bill and Pete Bergeron; and sisters, Ester Persilver, Delta Latiolais, Thelma Horton, Louise Horton and Lillie Mae Arnaud.
Pallbearers were grandsons, Sean Louviere, Scott Louviere, Chase Bergeron, Derek Louviere, Chris Louviere and Michael Louviere.
Honorary pallbearers were grandsons, Dray Louviere, Dusty Louviere, Dannon Louviere, Dave Louviere and Karey Louviere
Readings were by granddaughters, Nikki Boyd and Brandy Henry. Gifts were presented by granddaughters, Sonya Francois and Cassey Hoffpauir.
