Lester Allen Boudreaux

Breaux Bridge – A Mass of Christian Burial wase held at 10 a.m. on Monday, January 23, 2017, at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Lester Allen Boudreaux, 67, who passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2017, at Lady of the Sea General Hospital in Cut Off, La.
Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home from 3:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Sunday and continued on Monday at 7 a.m. until 9:30 a.m.
A Masonic service was held at 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
A rosary was prayed at 7 p.m. on Sunday by a loving friend, Tina Breaux.
Rev. Garrett McIntyre officiated at the Mass of Christian Burial. Scriptures were read by his godchild, Leslie Novasad. Gift Bearers were his grandchildren.
Interment followed at St. Bernard Mausoleum - No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
Lester was a member of the Masonic Hope Lodge #145 in Lafayette. He proudly served in the Army National Guard, Breaux Bridge Unit, Alpha Company as an E6 Staff Sergeant. He enjoyed playing cards every Wednesday night with his friends, hunting, fishing and was a knife collector. He was also a two-time winner of the Gumbo Cook Off. He was always referred to as “the man that could cook.”
He will be remembered as a gentle soul with an infectious smile that expressed his love for everyone. Lester was a loving father, grandfather, brother, friend and a wonderful husband.
He is survived by his loving spouse of 47 years, Gail Courville Boudreaux of Breaux Bridge; daughters, Melissa B. Blanchard and husband Kevin of Breaux Bridge, and Andrea Rodman and husband Kirk of Breaux Bridge; son, Brandon Boudreaux and wife Julie of Henderson; brothers, Calvin Boudreaux and wife Peggy of Cecilia, Mertille “Joe” Boudreaux of Breaux Bridge, Michael “Mike” Boudreaux and companion Sandra Duhon of Youngsville; sisters, Linda Bourque and husband Kent of Breaux Bridge, Rachel “Baba” Patin and husband Randy of Breaux Bridge, Roxanne “Pookie” Schexnayder and husband Ray of Arnaudville and Judy Boudreaux and companion Meritia; and his grandchildren, Colleen Rodman, Jordan Rodman, Avery Blanchard, Aaron Blanchard, Kirin Boudreaux and Sayuri Boudreaux.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lucille Boudreaux; father, Mertille Boudreaux; brother, Lennis Boudreaux; and sister, Delores Boudreaux.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge, was in charge of arrangements.
