Leon Lewis

Cade – Services were conducted for Mr. Leon Lewis, 29, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017, at St. Mark Baptist Church with the Rev. John Marks Stevens officiating.
Interment was in St. Mark Cemetery.
Visitation was at the church from 8 a.m. until time of services.
A native of Cade, he had been a resident of St. Martinville for one year.
Mr. Leon died as a result of a car accident.
Leon worked at Blake’s Auto Sales.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Herrick Lewis; father, Clyde Press; and mother, Katherine Press; three sons, Leon Lewis Jr., Landyn Lewis and and Liam Lewis; two brothers, Eric Alexis and Rodaire Alexis; two sisters, Tatamesha Carr of Houston, Texas, and Sharnell P. Knight of St. Martinville.
He was proceded in death by his grandparents, Felton and Florence Celestine, Espy Johnson and Maugerite Press; uncle, Leon Celestine; and Cynthia Faye Peters.
Pallbearers were Domian Celestine, Spidel Kately, Lester Celestine Jr., Donovan Cormier, Harry Williams and Darress Duhon.
Honorary pallbearers were Reggie Allen, Wayne Allen, Rodaire Alexis, Eric Alexis, Derrick Press, Dondrick Sam, Devon Riley, Derrick Press, Troy Landry Jr., Paul Broussard and Sydney Kristen Marshall
The Golden Meadows Funeral Home of St. Martinville was in charge of arrangements.
