Kim Bennett Signorelli

St. Martinville – A graveside memorial service for Kim Bennett Signorelli will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2014, at the St. Michael Mausoleum. Father Ed Degeyter will conduct the service.
Kim passed away Sunday, October 19, 2014, at a Shreveport hospital after a brief illness. He was 52.
A native of St. Martinville, Kim graduated from St. Martin Academy in January, 1980. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from UL Lafayette in December, 1983. Kim was a state licensed Substance Abuse Counselor who spent over 25 years assisting both young and old as they worked to overcome their addictions. His kind and gentle nature enabled him to do so with great compassion, and for that, he will always be remembered.
Kim was a member of The Pentecostals of Alexandria Church and had found great peace and love in his life through his relationship with Jesus and the people in the church. Kim loved his family dearly, and his big heart and beautiful smile will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Of Kim, it can be truly said, “I have fought the good fight.”
Kim is survived by his loving wife Lin, from Alexandria; his two children, Kimberly Signorelli (Gregory Arceneaux) and Michael Signorelli of Lafayette; his mother, Carolyn B. Signorelli and father, Buddy Signorelli; his brother, Paul Signorelli; and his nephew, Santino “Sonny” Signorelli; his uncle, Wayne Bienvenu; several first cousins and numerous other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Marcel J. and Edith Bienvenu and his paternal grandparents, Henry J. and Bernice Signorelli; his uncles Phil and Kenny Signorelli; and aunts, Caroline Bienvenu and Nancy Signorelli.
