Judd Thomas Judice

Catahoula – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 30, at St. Rita Catholic Church in Catahoula for Judd Thomas Judice, 37, who passed away on Monday, June 26, 2017.
Visiting hours were observed at Dion Hall in Catahoula from 3 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Thursday and continued on Friday at 6 a.m. until 9:30 a.m.
A rosary was prayed by the Men’s Rosary Group on Thursday.
Rev. Ed Degeyter officiated at the Funeral Mass. Readers were Karen Olivier and Megan Louviere. Gift Bearers were Jeanne Bellard, Jill Hebert, Taylor Melancon and Emmeline Judice.
Interment followed at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery in Catahoula.
Judd enjoyed teaching children and was a Social Studies teacher at Magnolia Elementary School in New Iberia, where he taught 6th grade. Prior to teaching in New Iberia, Judd taught at Catahoula Elementary School for 13 years.
A history buff, Judd was particularly interested in the Presidents of the United States, most especially President John F. Kennedy and his life.
He is survived by his parents, Glenn and Loretta Broussard Judice of St. Martinville; his brother, Beau Judice and wife Nikki of St. Martinville; his grandparents, Buddy and Gladys Broussard of St. Martinville; his nephews, Rylan Frederick of Catahoula, Niles Broussard of New Iberia, and Liam Reyerson of San Jose, Cal.; his nieces, Taylor Melancon of Lafayette, Emmeline Judice of Loreauville, Emma Frederick of Catahoula, and Piper Reyerson of San Jose, Cal.; a great-niece, Lucie Babineaux of Lafayette; and his significant other, Melissa Lindbloom of New Iberia.
He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Murphy and Grace Judice.
Pallbearers were Marcus Broussard, Mason Broussard, Kory Latiolais, Bryan Broussard, Dana Dugas, Daniel Cooke and Kipp Theriot.
Honorary pallbearer was Beau Judice.
Pellerin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
