Jerry ‘Jay Jay’ John Wiltz Jr.

Henderson – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2015, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church for Jerry “Jay Jay” John Wiltz, Jr. 43, who passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2015, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.
Visiting hours were observed from 10:30 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Friday and continued on Saturday at 7 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Pellerin Funeral Home in Henderson. A rosary was prayed at 7 p.m. on Friday.
Rev. Michael Delcambre officiated at the Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment followed at St. Michael the Archangel Mausoleum in Henderson.
“Jay Jay,” as he was better known, was very sociable and loved hanging out with his family and friends. He loved making people laugh and always made it a point to put a smile on their faces. “Jay Jay” will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his parents, Jerry John Wiltz Sr. and Louise Hayes Wiltz; his brothers, Ronnie Wiltz and wife Melanie, and Shelby Wiltz and wife Evie; his nephew, Dawson Wiltz; and nieces, Ronny Mechelle Wiltz, Londyn Wiltz, Masyn Wiltz and Tatum Wiltz.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Emery and Lavina Wiltz; his maternal grandparents, Althmae and Solange Hayes; and an aunt, Merly “Kye” Hayes.
Pallbearers were Ronnie Wiltz, Shelby Wiltz, Brennan Boudreaux, Anthony LeMaire, Larry Haywood and Jean Thibodeaux.
Honorary pallbearers were Ronny Mechelle Wiltz, Dawson Wiltz, Taren Wiltz, Lonnie Wiltz, Shawn Wiltz, Lauren Haywood, Mallory Haywood and Richie Baumboree.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Henderson was in charge of arrangements.
