J.C. Tauzin

Cecilia – A Funeral Service was held at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 25, 2016, at Pellerin Funeral Home for J.C. Tauzin, 88, who passed away on Friday, January 22, 2016, at his residence.
Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Sunday and continued on Monday at 7 a.m. until 11 a.m.
A rosary was prayed at 7 p.m. on Sunday.
Deacon Ken Soignier officiated the Funeral Service.
Interment followed at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia.
J.C. owned and operated the service station in Poche Bridge for over 40 years. He had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed spending time with his family. J.C. was an avid sports fan, he especially loved the Cecilia Bulldogs.
He proudly served his country and was a veteran of the United States Army/Merchant Marine.
He was a great husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his loving spouse of 64 years, Laura Belle Latiolais Tauzin; sons, Feron Tauzin (Lorrie), Todd Tauzin (Melanie) and Matt Tauzin (Terri); daughters, Debbie Tauzin Benoit (Bobbie) and Tracy Tauzin; grandchildren, Jeb Johnson (Dawn), Britnie Bourque (Lannie), Brodie Benoit (Corrie), Rowdy, Ramie and Reid Tauzin and Abby Robert (Daniel); great-grandchildren, Draven, Kaden, Gavin, Ann-Marie, Ava, Ella, Jed, Bella, Estelle, Aviree and Charli; and sisters, Alma Benoit and Evelyn Meche.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Tauzin; mother, Josephine Mathieu Tauzin; brothers, Anicet, Exelie, P-Goo; and sisters, Alfreda, Solange, Hilda, Beulah, Estelle, Gladys, Evelyn, Alma and Nemez.
Pallbearers were Feron, Todd, Matt and Reid Tauzin, Jeb Johnson and Brodie Benoit.
The family would like to give special thanks to Amedisys, Home Health and Hospice.
