Ida LeBlanc Guidry

Parks – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 16, 2017, at St. Joseph Catholic Church for Ida LeBlanc Guidry, 94, who passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2017.
Visiting hours were observed from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Parks. A rosary wase prayed at 10:30 a.m. on Monday.
Rev. Donovan Labbé officiated at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures were read by Linda Theriot-Hebert and Nancy Doré. Gift bearers were her grandchildren.
Entombment followed at St. Bernard Mausoleum - No. 1 in Breaux Bridge.
Mrs. Guidry was a retired educator with the St. Martin Parish School system and a member of the Louisiana Teachers’ Association and the Louisiana Teachers’ Retirement System.
She was a longtime parishioner of St. Bernard Catholic Church and a member of the Breaux Bridge Chapter of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas. Ida was a devout Catholic and a dedicated adorer in the St. Bernard Chapel of Perpetual Adoration since its inception in 1984 until 2012.
She was an avid traveler, both domestic and abroad, with her loving companion and husband, Lester, along with her brother, Lee Roy, and sister-in-law, Verna LeBlanc.
She is survived by her sons, Bruce Guidry of Loreauville and Billy Guidry and wife, Brenda, of Cecilia; her daughters, Linda Theriot-Hebert and husband Jean Paul, Nancy Doré and husband Allen, and Mary Guidry and husband, Eddie, all of Parks; 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by husband, Lester Guidry; her parents, Albert LeBlanc Sr. and Vianna Savoy LeBlanc; her brothers, Bruce LeBlanc, Stanley LeBlanc, Rev. Whitney LeBlanc, Albert LeBlanc Jr., Clifton LeBlanc, Ralph LeBlanc and Lee Roy LeBlanc; sisters, Ernestine Morvant, Anaise Savoy and Vianna “Vicky” Langlinais; an infant son, Mark Benedict Guidry; and her son-in-law, W. J. Theriot.
Pallbearers were Kyle Theriot, Bret Doré, Scot Doré, Seth Doré, Blaise Guidry, Ben Guidry, Nicholas Guidry and Jason Guidry.
Honorary pallbearers were Travis Guidry and Chad Guidry.
Pellerin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
