Howard Sanders

Arnaudville – A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday, Oct. 17, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church for Howard “Buck” Sanders, aka Poppie, 78, who passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2016.
Interment followed at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery.
He is survived by his loving companion of 25 years, Dula Guidry of Cecilia; daughters, Tina Sanders of Grand Junction, Colo., and Mrs. Richard (Jacqueline) Welsh of Parks; nine grandchildren; brothers, Raymond Sanders of Breaux Bridge and Wilbert Sanders of Arnaudville; sister, Mrs. Joe (Mary) Picard of Breaux Bridge; step-sons, David Guidry of Arnaudville, and Bruce, Kevin and Mardy Guidry all of Cecilia; step-daughters, Mrs. Timmy (Janet) Stelly of Arnaudville, Mrs. Hayward (Jessica) Frederick of Breaux Bridge, Kelly Jo Guidry of Cecilia, and Mrs. James (Amanda) Robin of Mandeville; and three step great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by wife, LeeAnna Brasseaux Sanders; son, Michael J. Sanders; brothers, George, Joseph, Josue, Harry, Leroy and John A. Sanders; and one grandchild.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Arnaudville was in charge of arrangements.
