Hilda Marie Savoy

Catahoula – A Mass of Christian Burial was conducted for Ms. Hilda Marie Savoy, 85, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2015, at St. Rita Catholic Church with Fr. Richard Fabre officiating.
Interment followed at Our Lady of the Lake Mausoleum in Catahoula.
Visitation was held from at Dion Hall from 3:30 p.m. on Friday until and continued until the service time on Saturday. A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. on Friday.
A native and resident of Catahoula, Ms. Savoy passed away at 4:15 a.m. on Thursday, October 8, 2015, at Landmark of Acadiana.
Ms. Savoy was a member of St. Rita’s Catholic Church where she served on the Altar Society and taught catechism for many years. She babysat for some of her nieces and nephews and loved caring for little children and spent many hours making beautiful quilts.
She is survived by her three sisters, Anna S. Caillier of Orange, Texas, Ethel S. Dugas and husband Gerald of Loreauville, and Lula S. Hebert of Broussard; nieces and nephews, Johnny Caillier, Dudley Caillier, Annbelle Mires and husband Del, Toby Dugas and wife Tiffany, Sister Tracey Dugas, Byron Hebert and wife Melanie, Tammy Vannoy and husband Jon, Tina Richard and husband Rob, Leonard Hebert and wife Trudy, Joey Hebert, Dean Guidry, Ramona Cooke and husband John, and numerous great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dudley and Ludy Latiolais Savoy; and one sister, Clemé S. Guidry
Pallbearers were members of the family.
