Harris Taylor

Arnaduville – A Mass of Christian burial was held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, June 16, 2016, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church for Harris Taylor, 82, who passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2016, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.
Visiting hours were observed from 2:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Wednesday and continued on Thursday at 7 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. at Pellerin Funeral Home in Arnaudville.
A rosary was prayed at 7 p.m. on Wednesday.
Fr. Keenan Brown officiated at the Funeral Mass. Readers were Keri Taylor and Kimberly Taylor. Gift bearers were his daughters, Kathy Richard and Cynthia Arnaud.
Interment followed at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville.
Harris loved to garden and grow his own vegetables. His passion was cooking and making a Boucherie. He was a giving and loving person. Harris loved his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren greatly. Harris will be missed by all who loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife Shirley Ann Olivier Taylor; sons, Donovan Taylor and wife Charlene, and Shawn Taylor and wife Keri; daughters, Cynthia Arnaud and husband Mike, Kathy Richard and husband David, and Kimberly Taylor; brother, Taylor J. Taylor; 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by parents, Valex Sr. and Edna Hebert Taylor; daughter, Stephanie Taylor; grandchild, Jaime Chautin; brothers, Evans, Valex Jr., Resnaire, Joseph, Louis and Larry Taylor; and sister, Ella Mae Daigle.
Pallbearers were Donovan Taylor, Shawn Taylor, Josh Arnaud, Brock Arnaud, David Richard and Matthew Taylor.
Honorary pallbearers were Mike Arnaud, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Arnaudville wais in charge of arrangements.
