Grace Guidry Dupuis

Henderson – A Funeral Service was held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 2, 2016, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church for Grace Guidry Dupuis, 97, who passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2016, at St. Agnes Healthcare & Rehab Center.
Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge from 9:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Sunday.
A rosary was prayed at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday by Deacon Butch Hebert.
Rev. Garrett McIntyre officiated at the funeral services.
Interment followed at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Henderson.
Grace was a member of the Ladies Altar Society of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Henderson and Exxon Annuitant Club. She enjoyed reading, cooking for her family and friends, praying the rosary for all in need, and attending family gatherings. Her love for God and family was the focus of her life. Her family lovingly referred to her as Amazing Grace. Her Godly legacy will be forever imprinted and carried forward in the hearts of her family.
She is survived by her daughters, Mary D. Maddox and husband Jim of Baton Rouge, Audrey D. Thibodeaux and husband Wilson of Breaux Bridge, Loretta D. Dugas and husband Michael of Baton Rouge, and Kathleen D. Clark and husband Michael of Breaux Bridge; grandchildren, Lisa Forster, James Maddox Jr., Jeff Maddox, Matthew Maddox, Dirk Thibodeaux, Angel Branch, Heather Thibodeaux, Kristie Kite, Danielle Nodhturft, Blaine Clark and Sarah Clark; brothers, Earl Guidry and wife Evelyna of Port Allen, and Jim Guidry of Henderson; brother-in-law, Tommy Peltier of Breaux Bridge; 18 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by parents, Julian and Lorita Latiolais Guidry; husband, Sprague Dupuis; sisters, Earlee Scrantz and Anna Dean Peltier; brothers, Ernest Guidry and Ivan Guidry; and sisters-in- law, Birdie Guidry and Doris Guidry.
Pallbearers were Dirk Thibodeaux, Blaine Clark, James Maddox, Jr., Matt Maddox, Jeff Maddox and Wilson Thibodeaux.
Honorary pallbearers were brothers and sons-in-law.
Grace’s family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Dr. Warren Degatur and his staff, the nurses and staff of St. Agnes Healthcare, and Sophie Guidroz for the loving care provided through the years.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge was in charge of arrangements.
