Gerald J. Pratt

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, August 2, 2014, at Notre Dame Catholic Church in St. Martinville, for Gerald James Pratt, 70, who passed away on Friday, July 25, 2014, at his residence.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville, from 3 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Friday, August 1, 2014, and continue at 7 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 2, 2014.
A rosary prayer service will be at 7 p.m. on Friday, August 1, 2014.
Interment will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery in St. Martinville.
Gerald loved singing, listening to his favorite music, watching sports and spending time with his family and friends. He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his daughter, Cherie Pratt Hoyle and her husband, Shatlan Hoyle, of Houston, Texas; his son, Troy Pratt of Liberty, Texas; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren; eight brothers and three sisters, Oscar Joseph Pratt, and wife, Daisy Bossett Pratt, of Carson, CA, Marcel Joseph Pratt of St. Martinville, Carol John Pratt of Lacombe, Elaine Theresa Pratt and husband, Michael Lance Conant of Albuquerque, NM, Lane Peter Pratt and wife, Susan Romero Pratt of St. Martinville, David Anthony Pratt and wife, Linda Stephens Pratt of Los Angeles, CA, Larry Francis Pratt and wife, Betty Boyd Pratt, of St. Martinville, Margaret Ann Pratt of St. Martinville, Mark Leonard Pratt of St. Martinville, John Richard Pratt and wife, Linda Duhon Pratt of Lafayette, and Andree Theresa Pratt and husband, Wilfred Lewis, Jr., of Henderson, NV.
He is preceded in death by his father, Joseph Adolph Pratt and his mother, Oscalie Williams Pratt.
