George Jerry Bundrick

Breaux Bridge – A Funeral Service was held at 2 p.m. on Friday, February 17, 2017, at Pellerin Funeral Home for George Jerry Bundrick, 74, who passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 15, 2017, at Lafayette General Medical Center.
Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Friday.
A rosary was prayed at 1 p.m. on Friday.
Deacon Butch Hebert officiated at the Funeral Service. Interment followed at Calvary Cemetery in Lafayette.
George was the owner of Pop’s Seafood in Breaux Bridge. He enjoyed farming, collecting coins, and in his younger days, scuba diving.
He was known to be a practical joker and was a strong-minded individual with ambitions to continue his genealogy research so his family would carry on his tradition. He will be sadly missed by all who loved him.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Sonia Theriot, Judy Alexander, and Rita Sonnier for providing care throughout his later years.
He is survived by his son, George Monroe Bundrick of Breaux Bridge; daughter, Roxanne Theriot and husband Troy of Breaux Bridge; mother of his children, Dorothy Bernard; brothers, James Aswell Bundrick Jr. and wife Sarah of New Orleans, Joseph Nathan Bundrick of Lafayette, and Charles Vincent Bundrick and wife Mary of Lafayette; sister, Eloise B. Montero of Lafayette; grandchildren, Rachel Bundrick, Kayln Bundrick, Kennedy Bundrick, Rhett Bundrick, Michael Prejean and his wife, Nashomie, Patricia Prejean and Troy Theriot; and his great-grandchildren, Bronson Prejean, Brandt Camacho, Kristian Prejean, Blaze Smith and Korbyn Theriot.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Aswell Bundrick; mother, Margaret Josephine Galbo Bundrick; and his sister, Patricia A. Bundrick.
Pallbearers were George Bundrick Jr., Michael Prejean, Troy Theriot, Tommy Bundrick, Tim Hoffpauir, Blaze Smith and Rhett Bundrick.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge was in charge of arrangements.
