Freda Feuer Miller

Funeral Service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at Pellerin Funeral Home for Freda Feuer Miller, 86, who passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2015, in Abbeville.
A gathering of family and friends was Tuesday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia.
Rabbi Barry Weinstein officiated at the funeral service.
Interment followed at Congregation Gates of Prayer Cemetery, 927 West Main Street in New Iberia.
Mrs. Miller was born on February 28, 1929, in Czechoslovakia to David and Pearl Feuer, and was a Holocaust survivor. She and her husband, Rudy, opened their first McDonald’s restaurant in 1982. Along with their son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Denise, they now own and operate nine McDonald’s restaurants in Abbeville, Franklin, St. Martinville, Kaplan, Broussard and New Iberia. A resident of Abbeville, Mrs. Miller enjoyed needlepoint work, swimming, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Rudy Miller of Abbeville; children, Larry Miller and wife Denise of New Iberia, Pamela Miller of New Iberia and Stewart Miller of Lafayette; brother, Joseph Feuer of Beachwood, Ohio; and grandchildren, Jordan Miller of New Iberia and Haley Miller of New Orleans.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, David and Pearl Feuer; and eight brothers and sisters who died in the Holocaust.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Miller’s name to the Congregation Gates of Prayer Temple, 1620 Elm Street, New Iberia, LA 70560.
