Fred T. Freeman

St Martinville – A Funeral Service was held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at Pellerin Funeral Home for Fred T. Freeman, 68, who passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2016, at his residence surrounded by his family.
Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home from 4 p.m. Monday, April 18, 2016, until funeral service at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 19, 2016.
Reverend Tony Ronsonet officiated at the Funeral Service.
Interment followed at St. Elizabeth Cemetery in Coteau Holmes.
Fred loved his grandkids and his mother. He enjoyed reading the Bible, listening to classical music and fishing. Fred is a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during the Vietnam War. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his loving spouse, Betty L. Sonnier Freeman; mother, Margaret “Maggie” Freeman; sons, John Paul, Fred Jr., Heath “Doobie,” Jake and wife Cristal, Edwin and wife Angela, Ace and wife Jenny; daughters, Kris Tina and husband Adam, and Faith and husband Mitch; grandchildren, Tyler, Jimmy, Cory, Summer, Emily, Chase, Logan, Gentry, Ashton, Carter, Braxton, Andrea and Josie; great-grandchildren, Gracie, Silas and Callie; brothers, Lynn Edward, Brent and wife Paula; and sisters, Vicki and Ruthie.
He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Freeman; sister, Twinkle; and son, Derek.
Pallbearers were Fred Jr., Heath “Doobie,” Jake, Edwin, Ace and Mitch.
Honorary pallbearers were Logan and Gentry.
Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville was in charge of arrangements.
