Ellis J. Melancon

Breaux Bridge – A Funeral Service was held on Monday, Aug. 24, at Pellerin Funeral Home for Ellis James Melancon, Sr., 72, who passed away on Saturday, Aug. 22, 2015, at Lafayette General Medical Center.
Interment followed at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2.
He is survived by his loving spouse of 52 years, Jean Hebert Melancon; his sons, Jimmie Melancon and E.J. Melancon; his daughters, Mrs. Kim (Dixie) Durio and Mrs. Chuck (Nicole) Landry; his brothers, Michael Melancon, Francis Melancon, Darrell Melancon and Rickey Melancon; his sister, Renella Boudreaux; nine grandchildren and four great-granchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Melancon.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge was in charge of arrangements.
