Ellen Hendricks Champagne

St. Martinville – A graveside service will be held at St. Michael Cemetery on Thursday, February 18, 2016, at 3 p.m. for Ellen Hendricks Champagne, 66, who passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2016, with her family by her side.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. on Thursday at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville.
Ellen loved her husband, children, grandchildren and her dogs. She looked forward to getting her hair done and talking to Marie. She enjoyed cooking for her family and making special meals for her dogs. Ellen dedicated the last 10 years of her life caring for her ailing husband with the help of her loving sister-in-law.
She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Ronald Champagne; sons, Brian Champagne and wife Rachel of Carriere, Miss., and Duane Champagne and wife Rae of Tyler, Texas; daughter, Monica Smith and husband Michael of Hattiesburg, Miss.; grandchildren, Shelby Graham and husband Jesse, Riley Jo Champagne, Johnathon Smith, Emily Kate Smith and Sawyer Champagne; brothers, Richard Hendricks and wife Susan, and Bobby Hendricks and wife Linda; sisters, Wilda Greene and husband Roy, Vonda Shackelford and husband Earl, Christina Hendricks and Sheila Riley and husband Ted.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Perry and Gary Hendricks; and parents Lewie and Louise Hendricks.
Pallbearers will be Jesse Graham, Joey Bienvenue, Wiltz Bienvenue, Michael Smith, Johnathon Smith and Buck Barras.
