Liz lived as a devoted wife to her husband Mike and loving mother to her two sons, Josh and Jake. She made a difference as a nurse at Hospice, Lourdes and Lafayette General and the people whose lives she touched will never forget her. As her sons grew up she supported them in their passions selflessly – devoting countless hours in the stadium at football games and in the wide open spaces rock climbing across the country. She enjoyed nature by taking long motorcycle trips with her husband and making her backyard beautiful. Using her talent and skill as a nurse, Liz supported her family and community in times of need and urgency. An accomplished potter, she made treasured and beautiful clay-ware. Her beauty, compassion, and intelligence will remain her lasting legacy. We love you Liz.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Gary; two sons, Joshua Gary and companion Hollie, and Dr. Jake Gary and wife Kate; two brothers, Phillippe Doiron and Alfred Doiron; two sisters, Carolyn “Sue” Theriot and Catherine “Sis” Blanchard; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Elsie and Louis Gary; and her brother-in-law, Wayne Gary and wife Rosangela.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Etienne Doiron Sr. and Yolande Thibodeaux Doiron; and two brothers, Etienne “Buddy” Doiron Jr. and Luke Doiron.
Pallbearers were Michael Gary, Joshua Gary, Dr. Jake Gary, Phillippe Doiron, Alfred Doiron and Andre Doiron.
