Edwin Jean Batiste Sr.

Breaux Bridge – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday, Aug. 14, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church for Edwin Jean Batiste Sr., 75, who passed away on Monday, Aug, 10, 2015, at St. Martin Hospital.
Interment followed at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Breaux Bridge.
Edwin served as a Breaux Bridge City Councilman.
He is survived by his wife, Willie Mae Alexander Jean Batiste of Breaux Bridge; his sons, Glenn E. Jean Batiste Sr., Kyle Jean Batiste, Ozer Alexander, Clarence Alexander, Wilbert Alexander and Milton Joseph; his daughters, Keisha Jean Batiste, Mrs. Michael (Penelope) Cochran Sr., Mrs. Coalancyo (Debrica) Williams, Mrs. Petere (Danielle) Castille Sr., Tameka Jean Batiste, Kendra Jean Batiste and Mrs. Dwight (Marie) Bryant, 17 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; his sister, Verline Jean Batiste; and his brothers, Harold L. Jean Batiste and Edward Wiltz.
He is preceded in death by his son, Edwin Jean Batiste Jr.; his brothers, Roosevelt and Herbert Jean Batiste; and his sister, Mary Rose Dalcourt.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge was in charge of arrangements.
