Dorothy ‘Dot’ Gauthier

Breaux Bridge – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Dorothy “Dot” Gauthier, 77, who passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2015.
Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home from 7:30 a,m, until 2:30 p,m, on Wednesday.
A rosary was prayed at 2 p.m. on Wednesday.
Rev. David Broussard officiated at the Funeral Mass. Reader was Elaine Juno.
Interment followed at Calvary Cemetery in Lafayette.
Dot was a member of St. Bernard Church and American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening, reading, attending festivals, fishing, camping, raising birds, and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her son, Greg Joseph Gauthier and his wife Debbie Ann of Breaux Bridge; her daughters, Renay “Susie” Lucie and husband Bryan of Breaux Bridge, Lynette Claire Lyons and husband Daniel of Carencro, and Phyllis Anne Albert and husband Troy of Cecilia; her sister, Elaine Juneau and husband Kenneth of Cottonport; her grandchildren, Keith J. Lyons, Claire M. Roy, Jeanne’ Eli Lucie, Victoria Lucie and Averi Lucie; and her great-grandchildren, David-Justice “DJ” Lyons and Kaden Lyons.
She is preceded in death by her father, Leonard Chenevert Sr.; her mother, Seraphine Gauthier Chenevert; her husband, Joseph Gauthier; and her brother, L. J. Chenevert Jr.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge was in charge of arrangements.
