Doris Chataignier Fournet

New Iberia –- Private memorial services will be held at a later date for Doris Chataignier Fournet, 86, who passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2017, in New Iberia.
Survivors include her husband, B. Lee Fournet of New Iberia; sons, Ernie Fournet and wife Kathy of New Iberia, and Kerry Fournet and wife Sheree of Longmont, Colorado; daughter, Valery LeBlanc and husband Kevin of New Iberia; son-in-law, Matthew Bourque of Tempe, Arizona; brothers, Charles Chataignier and wife Kathy of Slidell, Clay Chataignier and wife Charlotte of St. Martinville, Richard Chataignier of Baton Rouge, Carol Chataignier and wife Stephanie of Broomfield, Colorado, and Michael Chataignier and wife Cindy of Bridgeport, Texas; sisters, Lorraine Loras of St. Martinville, Hope Dugas and husband Huey of St. Martinville, Claudia Dorsey of St. Martinville, and Therese Rodriguez and husband Cliff of New Iberia; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Dr. Lee Marie Fournet; her parents, Charles and Therese Bienvenu Chataignier; sisters, Gayle Gray, Edwina Guirard and Charlene Chataignier.
The family would like to give special thanks to Hospice of Acadiana for their care and support.
