Donna Louise Latiolais

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 16, 2015, at St. Rita Catholic Church for Donna Louise Latiolais, 46, who passed away on Monday, January 12, 2015.
Visiting hours were observed from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Thursday, and continued on Friday at 7 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at Dion Hall in Catahoula. A rosary was prayed at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Fr. Richard Fabre officiated at the Funeral Service. Scriptures were read by Courtney Finley and Roxanne Roy. Music was provided by Wayne Broussard.
Interment followed at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery in Catahoula.
Donna was a 1987 graduate of St. Martinville Senior High School and a graduate of St. Martin Community College in Industrial Sewing and Certified Nursing Assistant. She was employed by McDonald’s for 12 years and Blooming Babies Day Care.
Donna was a parishioner of St. Rita Catholic Church, where she served as a Lector and Eucharistic Minister and was a member of St. Rita Altar Society, and Parks American Legion Post 289. She also served as a commissioner when elections took place in St. Martin Parish.
Donna was an avid fan of NASCAR racing and a devoted follower of No. 24 – Jeff Gordon. Her weekends were filled with races and watching Saints and L.S.U. football. Her most enjoyable pastimes were playing Pokeno and Bingo. One thing about Donna – she didn’t like to lose! She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her parents, Raleigh and Kathryn Decoux Latiolais; her sisters, Amy LeBlanc and husband Matthew, and Jessica Latiolais; her maternal grandmother, Doris Oubre Decoux; her step grandfather, Dallas Blanchard; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Ned Decoux; and paternal grandparents, Clarence “Coon” and Ethel “Pie” Latiolais.
Pallbearers were Philip Decoux, Albert Decoux, Alfred Decoux, Matthew LeBlanc, Kelsie Latiolais and L.J. “Butch” Grivat Jr.
Honorary pallbearer was Dallas Blanchard.
Pellerin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
