Bobby LaGrange

Lafayette – A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday, December 10, 2016, at 1 p.m. in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Bobby LaGrange, 72, who passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2016. The Reverend Gary Schexnayder, Pastor at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, officiated the funeral ceremony.
Bobby is survived by his wife of 50 years, Ida LaGrange of Lafayette; one daughter, Leah LaGrange Hebert and her husband Kim of Lafayette; two sons, Mark LaGrange and his wife Raquel of Lafayette, and Luke LaGrange of New Orleans; his mother, Anna LaGrange of Cecilia; four sisters, Jeanette Hebert and her husband C.J. of Cecilia, Belle Guidry and her husband Chester of Sulphur, Nora Mowrer and her husband
Richard of Grand Junction, Colo., and Linda Greco and her husband Johnny of Kingwood, Texas; one brother, James LaGrange and his wife Charlotte of Breaux Bridge; and four grandchildren, Brennan LaGrange, Grant LaGrange, Brooks Hebert, and Anna Maria Hebert.
He is preceded in death by his father, Preston LaGrange. Mr. LaGrange was a high school Math teacher and coach for 39 years, spending the majority of that time at Cecilia High School. In his free time, he enjoyed horse racing, sports, cooking, gardening, and watching LSU football. A
devoted grandfather, attending his grandchildren’s sporting events became his true passion in life.
Pallbearers were Brooks Hebert, Kim Hebert, Brennan LaGrange, Grant LaGrange, Luke LaGrange and Mark LaGrange.
Visitation hours were observed on Saturday, December 10, 2016, from 8 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m.
