Beatrice D. Lagrange Stelly

Arnaudville – Funeral services were held on Friday, January 13, 2017, at a 2 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Francis Regis Catholic Church for Beatrice D. Lagrange Stelly, 74, who passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family and friends on Monday, January 9, 2017, at 4 p.m.
Interment was in St. Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. The Rev. Keenan Brown, pastor of St. Francis Regis Catholic Church, officiated at the services. Readers were her grandchildren, Hobie Artigue and Hailee Lagrange. Giftbearers were her goddaughter, Nicole Andrepont, her very dear friend, Barbara Hebert, and Cindy LeBlanc.
Musical selections were provided by Randy Hebert.
Ms. Bea will be remembered for her love of fashion and decorating. Her creativity was admirable and her talkative personality made her instantly loved by everyone she met. She was employed as a bank teller. She enjoyed reading and shopping with her daughter and friends.
Survivors include one daughter, Jennifer Lagrange Artigue and her husband Bryan of Arnaudville; two stepsons. Tommy Stelly and his wife Frannie of Arnaudville and Michael Stelly of Erath; two grandchildren, Hobie Bryan Artigue and Hailee Renee Lagrange; four step grandchildren, Brandon Jude Stelly, Paul “Gunner” Durousseau, Marcus Stelly and Greg Stelly; one sister, Anna Mae Knott of Iowa; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Henry “T-Gree” Lagrange; her second husband, John Lewis Stelly; one son, Jimmy C. Lagrange; her parents, Hector Devillier and the former Noeda Bergeron; step daughter-in-law, Annette Stelly; two brothers, Leland “Boy” Devillier and Lawrence “Pete” Devillier; and one sister, Roma Lanclos.
A rosary was prayed at 7 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home by Barbara Hebert.
Visiting hours were observed from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. Thursday and continued from 9 a.m. until service time on Friday.
Pallbearers were Bryan Artigue, Lenny Devillier, Tommy Stelly, Mike Stelly, Brandon Stelly and Herbert “Cafa” Hebert.
