Amiee Bellot Berard

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 27, 2015, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church for Amiee “Me Me” Bellot Berard, 94, who passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2015.
Vvisiting hours were observed from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Monday, and continued on Tuesday at 8 a.m. until 2:45 p.m. at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville. A rosary was prayed at 7 p.m. on Monday.
Rev. Joseph Padinjarepeedika officiated at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures were read by Irma DeBlanc. Gifts Bearer wase Cole Riley.
Interment followed at St. Elizabeth Cemetery in Coteau Holmes.
Amiee enjoyed cooking, family gatherings, praying the Rosary, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by a son, Sidney Berard (Gene) of Coteau Holmes; her daughter, Elaine Gardemal (Curtis) of Coteau Holmes; two brothers, James “Bod” Bellot and Lennis Bellot, both of New Iberia; 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Savie Berard; her son, Jerry Berard; her parents, Joseph and Mary Martin Bellot; two sisters, Odelle Romig and Evelyn Bellot; and five brothers, Clarence Bellot, Maurice Bellot, Edward Bellot, Joseph Bellot Jr. and John Bellot.
Pallbearers were Tim Berard, Obrey Ronsonet, Brian Berard, Ted Schexnayder, Nicolas Riley and Curtis “T-Boy” Gardemal Jr.
Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville was in charge of arrangements.
