Alfred Johnson

St. Martinville – A Funeral Service was held on Saturday, May 30, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel for Alfred “Papop” Johnson, 66, who passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2015, at his residence.
Mr. Johnson was veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the United States Army.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Florence Johnson of Lafayette; his daughters, Mrs. Harry (Vanessa) Taylor of Springfield, Mo., and Mrs. Rodney (Rochelle) Vallier of Lafayette; three grandchildren; his sisters, Mrs. Leroy (Delores) Landry of Alexandria, and Laura Johnson and Bessie Johnson of Houston, Texas; and his brothers, Murphy Johnson and Wilfred Johnson, both of Baton Rouge, Nelton Johnson of Oakland, Cal., and Melvin Johnson of St. Martinville.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Generita Johnson.
Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville was in charge of arrangements.
