Adelle Dupuis Kennison

Cecilia – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at St. Joseph Catholic Church for Adelle Dupuis Kennison, 72, who passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2016, at Lafayette General Medical Center.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Tuesday and continue on Wednesday at 7 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. at Pellerin Funeral Home in Cecilia. A rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. on Tuesday by Geralyn Thomassee.
Reverend Lloyd Benoit will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Gift Bearers will be her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia.
Adelle was a lifelong parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia and a member of the Ladies Altar Society. She served as a board member of SLEMCO for several years. Adelle enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and was known to be a caregiver – if someone needed her help, all you had to do was ask, and she was there for you.
She will forever be remembered for her infectious smile, simplicity, compassionate heart, and the unconditional love she had for everyone.
She is survived by her son, Neal Kennison and wife Michelle of Cecilia; daughters, Lesley Kennison Thibodeaux of Cecilia and Jamie “Pep” Kennison Cormier and husband Patrick of Cecilia; her grandchildren, Lacey Adelle Thibodeaux, Rylan Thibodeaux, Raven Thibodeaux and Austin Kennison; a great-grandchild, Ky Menard; step-grandchild, Shelby Cormier; and a step-great-grandchild, Layton Cormier.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harold Joseph Kennison; and her parents, George and Florence Scrantz Dupuis.
Pallbearers will be Neal Kennison, Patrick Cormier, Raven Thibodeaux, Rylan Thibodeaux, Austin Kennison and Mike Thibodeaux.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ky Menard, Shelby Cormier and Layton Cormier.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia is in charge of arrangements.
