Judy Romero Champagne

St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 27, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville for Judy Romero Champagne, 74, who passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2017.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Monday, and continued on Tuesday at 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. A rosary was prayed on Monday.
Rev. Rusty P. Richard officiated at the Funeral Mass. Readers were Katherine and Allie Champagne, and Natalie Boudreaux Tabb. Gift Bearers were Kristin Champagne and Darnell Champagne. Interment followed at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville.
Judy was a secretary for the Clerk of Court in St. Martinville for many years. She enjoyed going to the casino and shopping. Judy loved being with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her loving husband, Gerald Champagne; her mother, Rena Champagne Romero; her sons, Scott Champagne and John Champagne and his wife, Shelley; her sister, Geraldine Boudreaux and her husband Gilbert; her daughter-in-law, Darnell Champagne; and her grandchildren, Katherine Champagne, Kristin Champagne, Allie Champagne, Grant Champagne, and Rachel Champagne.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lennis Romero.
Pallbearers were Scott Champagne, John Champagne, Grant Champagne, Brody Boudreaux, Joey Tabb, and Chris Champagne.
Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville was in charge of arrangements.
