Mae Courville Talley
St. Martinville – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 1 p.m. on Monday, February 27, 2017, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church for Mae Courville Talley, 74, who passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2017.
Visiting hours were observed from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Monday at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville.
A rosary was prayed at 10 a.m. on Monday.
Rev. Richard Fabre officiated at the Funeral Mass. Scripture was read by Shelbi Talley. Gift bearers were Noah and Eliott Talley. Interment followed at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville.
Mae was a bookkeeper at Teche Bank for 30 years. She enjoyed painting, cooking, sewing, and playing dominos with her friends. Mae was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. Her family was very important to her and she enjoyed spending time with them. Mae will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Roland Patrick Talley; her son, Kevin and wife Melodie Savoy Talley; her daughter, Karen and husband Jeff Olivier; her brothers, Aldus Courville and wife Hazel, and Clarence Courville and wife Judy; her sisters, Gladys Broussard and husband Halphen “Buddy,” and Elaine Darby and husband Paul; and her grandchildren, Chase Olivier, Blair Berard, Shelbi Talley, Sydni Talley, Noah Talley and Eliott Talley.
She was preceded in death by parents, Ozema and Bernadette Dugas Courville.
Pallbearers were Kevin Talley, Chase Olivier, Jeff Olivier, Bryan Broussard, Halphen “Buddy” Broussard and Craig Theriot.
Honorary pallbearers will be her brothers, Aldus Courville and Clarence Courville.
Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville was in charge of arrangements.
