Breaux Bridge – A Memorial Service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 18, 2017, at Pellerin Funeral Home for Alton Bergeron, 85, who passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2017.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday.
A rosary will be prayed at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
Deacon Marcel “Butch” Hebert will officiate at the Memorial Service.
Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
Alton was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a devoted father, grandfather, great grandfather, and great-great grandfather. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his sons, Carl Bergeron and wife Shawntelle, Coby Bergeron and wife Keely, and Clayton Bergeron and wife Kylie; daughters, Dianne Lormand and husband Elton, and Sandra Menard and husband Glen; brother, Clifton Bergeron; sisters, Renella Castille, and Leatrice Wade and husband Gordon; grandchildren, Shawn Menard, Kaisha Menard, Terence Lormand, Lance Lormand, Demi Bergeron, Greyson Bergeron, Harper Bergeron, Hadley Ber-geron, Gage Bergeron, and Ellery Bergeron; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He is also survived by two step daughters.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Whitney and Ann Thibodeaux Bergeron; his sisters, Beatrice Castille and Rena Mae Broussard; paternal grandparents, Alexander and Ida Bergeron; and maternal grandparents, Nicholas and Rita Thibodeaux.
