Eunice T. Delahoussaye

Breaux Bridge – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 12 noon on Saturday, January 7, 2017, at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Eunice T. Delahoussaye, 88, who passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Friday and continued on Saturday at 7 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.
A rosary was prayed at 7 p.m. on Friday.
Rev. Ed Degeyter officiated at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures were read by Aimye T. Dugas and Keisha Menard. Gifts Bearers were all of her grandchildren.
Interment followed at St. Bernard Mausoleum - No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
Eunice had a very nurturing personality. She loved her family and her greatest joy was making sure that they knew they were loved and cared for. Eunice enjoyed working in her yard with her flowers – making her home and yard beautiful. She was an avid reader, enjoyed picking pecans, tending to her livestock, and doing word puzzles. She will be remembered for her kindness and the love she gave to everyone.
She is survived by her sons, Jeffery J. Delahoussaye of Breaux Bridge and Dean F. Delahoussaye of Breaux Bridge; daughters, Helen D. Theriot of Breaux Bridge, and Fabian D. Tucker and husband Butch of Breaux Bridge; brother, Frank Tauzin of Cutoff; grandchildren, Aimye T. Dugas, Jonathan Dore, Clint Theriot, Nicki Fernandez, Jason Dore, Alaina Carlson, Keisha Menard, Tonya Armstrong and Tomi-Lauren Tucker; 23 great-grandchildren; and onegreat-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jean and Rhena Ponville Tauzin; her husband, Lawrence Delahoussaye; an infant son, Eric Delahoussaye; brothers, Norris Tauzin, Wilfred Tauzin, Ivan Tauzin, Claude Tauzin, Freddie Tauzin and Francis Tauzin; sisters, Irene Guidry, Lillian Robert, Yolande Melancon and Enid Tribe; and her son-in-law, Ames J. Theriot.
Pallbearers were Jeffery Delahoussaye, Arden “Noonie” Delahoussaye, Jonathan Dore, Clint Theriot, Jason Dore, Donald Tauzin and Harold Delahoussaye.
Honorary pallbearers were Dean Delahoussaye, Thomas “Butch” Tucker Jr., Trent Dugas, Brennon Dugas, Aaron Gerace, Drew Dugas, Conner Carlson, Stephen Carlson, Jacques Theriot, Blaise Dore, Connor Dore, Ty Fernandez, Hunter Johnson, Elijiah Menard, Wayne Menard, Gavin Ivanoff, Liam Armstrong, Justin Armstrong, Russell Tauzin and Victor Disotell.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge was in charge of arrangements.
