Honore ‘Ray’ Angelle

Lafayette – A Mass of Christian Burial was held on December 19, 2016, at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church for Honore “Ray” Angelle, 74, who passed away on December 14, 2016.
Father Gary Schexnayder, pastor of St. Elizabeth Seton, celebrated the funeral Mass and conducted the funeral services. Cheryl Angelette and Hubert Hebert were the lectors; gift bearers were Josie Boudreaux, Vickie Hebert and Phyl Domingue.
Left to mourn the loss of Ray are his wife, Mary Ann Hebert Angelle of Lafayette; daughter, June Angelle Broussard and her husband Keith of Carencro; sister, Josie Boudreaux of Breaux Bridge; grandson, Brook Broussard and his wife Ashley of Katy, Texas, and their two daughters, London Rae and Ardyn Kate Broussard; and his grand dog, Oscar.
He was preceded in death by his parents, the former Emmaline Mouton and Willie Angelle; two brothers, Henry and John Carroll Angelle; and three sisters, Emmaline Duhon, Patsy Meche and Shirley Mire.
Ray lived in Lafayette for most of his life. He and his wife were founding members of St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, and have been parishioners since inception of the parish. He was a member of the Super Chevy Club and the Late, Great Chevy Club, and was in the welding industry for 33 years.
Pallbearers were Brook Broussard, Keith Broussard, Danny Champagne, Kirk Thibodeaux, L.J. Boudreaux and Preston Meche.
